Spaghetti Bolognaise: $1.42 per serve!

This recipe is easy, healthy and cheap! So simple to make and super quick, this recipe is one of my favorites! And it’s freezer friendly!

Ingredients:IMG_20160521_170340

  • ½ Celery
  • 1Kg Beef Mince
  • 4-5 Carrots
  • 2 Onions
  • 2 Cloves Garlic
  • 2 Large Zucchini
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes (420g)
  • 1 can Tomato Paste (170g)
  • Pasta
  • 1 – 2 tablespoons Oil

Method:

  1. Chop celery, carrot, onion, garlic and zucchini
  2. Fry garlic and onion in oil
  3. Once onion is transparent, fry the mince until browned
  4. Add celery, carrots, zucchini and cook on high for 2 -3 minutes
  5. Add diced tomatoes and tomato paste and reduce heat
  6. Simmer for 30 minutes
  7. Cook pasta, drain
  8. Serve
  9. Put remaining bolognaise in sandwich bags and freeze – this dish makes great winter lunches!
